Stay at the Harp at Old Radnor

You can stay in one of five comfortable guest bedrooms, two are doubles, two have a double and a single bed so can be doubles, twins or family rooms, one has a double and two single beds.  We have no single rooms as such but can offer single occupancy of any of the rooms subject to availability.  Our accommodation is often block-booked for family gatherings, reunions of friends, wedding parties and groups of walkers, riders, golfers or others attending local events at the Royal Welsh showground, Presteigne Festival or Hay Festival, or the Vintage Sports Car Club Welsh Weekend each October.

Four of our rooms have views of the surrounding hills and one has a view out over our garden to the sheep grazing on the hillside beyond.  All have small flatscreen TVs with Freeview channels and access to free wifi.  All of the rooms are upstairs, four on the first floor, above the bar, so please be aware that there may be some noise during opening hours, especially at weekends.  Room 5 is on the second floor, further from the bar but up a second short flight of stairs.  We are sorry but none of our accommodation is wheelchair accessible.  There are some short descriptions and pictures of our rooms below, together with our current tariff.  Please note that prices are per room, per night and include a traditional cooked breakfast normally served from 8am to 9am but can be earlier if you wish.  Packed lunches for walkers and riders are available on request, please let us know when booking if you will require this.

For many of our guests it takes some time to get here and there is so much to see and do in the area that it is well worth taking a few days to explore.  To encourage you to stay a little longer we offer a discount for stays of 3 or more nights or the option of a dinner inclusive package.

We welcome well-behaved dogs in the bar and in the rooms (but not on the furniture, please bring their bed or crate with you) subject to a small charge of £15 per dog per stay to cover additional cleaning costs. Bowls, towels and treats are available and we can recommend some lovely walks for you to take with your dog.

When booking rooms, we take a deposit; the amount will vary according to the number of rooms booked, the number of nights you wish to stay and the number of occupants. This deposit is refundable in the event of cancellation unless you cancel less than 14 days before your first night’s stay. In this instance, it is only refundable if we are able to re-let all of the rooms booked.

Should you wish to have dinner with us, it is always advisable to book your table in advance.
